IPL 2023: Best Playing XI of Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

 Channai Superkings and MS Dhoni will play the starting match of IPL 2023 against Hardik Pandiya's Gujrat Titans on 31st March, Friday at Ahmedabad. CSK will try to make a grand  comeback for which the captain MS Dhoni is famous and fight for their fifth IPL title.

Last season Ravindra Jadeja was appointed as their captain but failed to perform well and handed over the captaincy to MS Dhoni. They finished the tournament in  the 9th position of 10 teams point table. This year, MS Dhoni will continue as a captain and wicket keeper. CSK has brought some quality players from the auction. Opening Batters: 

 CSK has some good opening options for this season of IPL. An Indian and an overseas batting combination is always considered by the captain MS Dhoni. They will definetly go for Ruturaj Gaikawad as indian option and other overseas batter can be Devon Conway or they can use Ben Stocks as an opener also.

Ruturaj Gaikawad: 

Ruturaj Gaikawad is one of the most talented batter of the squad. He has proved his abilities in IPL 2021, where he won the orange cap and played a key role to win 4 title.

He was the top run scorer for CSK in IPL2022. 

Devon Conway:

Devon Conway is one of the finest openers of  t20 cricket. CSK should consider his as the opening partner of Rutu. He is very consistent and in IPl 2022 he has scored 252 runs at an avarage  42.0 with a strike rate of 145.

Middle Order:

Moeen Ali:

Moeen Ali, an attacking batter and can play according to situation. He should be number three batsman. He is a good bowling option also, last season he played 10 matches and picked 8 wickets while bowling and scored 244 runs at a strike rate of 137 with the bat.

Ambati Rayudu:

Ambati Rayudu will be a perfect option. He was not in form last year, but scored a half century and 274 runs with a good strike rate. He can can score valuable runs at middle overs. 

Ben Stokes:

Ben Stocks is a big name the present cricketing world. CSK picked him for a massive Rs 17.25 Cr  during auction. He is a attacking batter, good bowler and an outstanding fielder. He has scored  920 runs with 2 hundreads, 2 fifties in 43 IPL games.

MS Dhoni: The Captain

Dhoni is the captain of the  Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2023 and the wicket keeper of the team. He is a lower middle order batter with some unbelievable records and stats. He has the ability to run the game as his way. He can anchor the innings and score quick runs at death overs. He is one of the greatest captains and batsman of IPL. This season he is looking fitter and willing to win the title for the 5th time.

Ravindra Jadeja: 

Ravindra Jadeja is a lower middle order batsman and one of the best all rounder of India. He failed last season and left the team for injury. Recently, he made a comeback against Australia and shown his abilities. He can be the most valuable player as he is a attacking batter, economical bowler and gun- fielder.

Shivam Dube:

CSK always likes the players who can contribute in batting and bowling as well. Shivam Dube is that types of player. He can bowl four overs and has the ability to hit long sixes in all directions.

Maheesh Theekshana:

 This Shrilankan spinner will be in the playing xi of CSK in IPL 2023 . He is very economical and can bowl well in power play overs. He played 9 games for CSK and grabbed 12 wickets at an average of 21.75 with economy rate of 7.45. He can be very effective in India's spin friendly pitches.

Deepak Chahar:

Deepak Chahar is the main bowler of CSK's bowling unit. After missing previous season, he will be aiming to perform his best in this season. He has joined CSK in IPL 2018, and performing quite well for the team. He can contribute with bat with good strike rate.

Mukesh Choudhary:

Mukesh Choudhary was the left arm pacer who impressed all with his swinging deliveries in the power play. If He declared fit, we can see him bowling with Deepak Chahar in the power play.
