CSK Match 2 : Mahendra Singh Dhoni Defeated His Opponent again with His Strategy | CSK vs LSG | IPL 2023

Probably this his Mahendra Singh Dhoni's  cricketing brain. Even after scoring 217 runs, it seemed that the match would go out of hand. But Mahi did not let that happen. Chennai returned to the match with one of his moves. Dhoni bowled three spinners while the pacers were taking a beating. This one decision of his changed the picture of the game. Lokesh Rahula could not win the match as Lucknow wickets fell one after another. In the end, Chennai won the match by 12 runs.

After 1427 days playing at home, Chennai Super Kings changed their game. The yellow jersey holders showed power with the bat from the first ball. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored half-centuries in two consecutive matches. Another opener Devon Conway also scored a run. The chip showed a flurry of four-sixes. Despite losing the toss, the two Chennai openers were aggressive from the first ball. Ruturaj looked more aggressive.

He started from where he left off in the last match. He hit a big shot casually. Conway looked more and more dangerous as time went on, even though he played a bit restrained in the beginning.

Ruturaj scored a half century in just 28 balls. He did not allow Lucknow's best weapon Mark Wood to stand in the previous match. Chennai crossed 100 runs in just 8 overs. Lucknow captain Rahul could not think of what to do. He called Ravi Bishnoi as the last card. Bishnoi brought the team back into the game. He dismissed Ruturaj for 57 runs. The two openers scored 110 runs in just 9 overs for the first wicket. Conway was dismissed for 47 off Wood. Shivam Dubey, Moeen Ali started well. But they could not make a big run. Shivam got out with 27 and Moeen 19 runs. Even though the wicket fell, the pace of runs did not decrease. The batter who was in field was in a striking mood from the start. Dhoni was accompanied by audience. They supported throughout the entire innings.

Dhoni came to bat in the last over. He hit two sixes in two consecutive balls. The Chennai captain got out after hitting another six off the third ball. In the end, Chennai's innings ended with 217 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs.

Lucknow's opener Kyle Meyers started batting in response. He scored a half-century against Delhi Capitals in the previous match. In this match too, he scored a half-century off only 21 balls. He did not discount the pacers of Chennai. Deepak Chahar, Ben Stokes, Tushar Deshpande all scored runs.

Just when it looked like the game was slipping out of Chennai's hands, Dhoni came up with the perfect move. He brought in right-arm off-spinner Moeen against left-arm Myers. Moeen dismissed Myers for 53 runs. He also took the wickets of captain Rahul and Krunal Pandya. The formidable Marcus Stoinis is also a victim of Moeen. This all-rounder of England took the rush of the game with 4 wickets. Deepak Hooda was dismissed by another spinner, Mitchell Santner. Spinners took all of Lucknow's first 5 wickets.
